At Walton Bridge Garage we’re firm believers that violence solves nothing. But it seems the same can’t be said when it comes to construction workers’ in China.
You may have seen our blog on Transformers a few weeks back, but this brings the concept of giant fighting vehicles to a whole new level!
Footage has emerged of two construction companies going toe to toe for a prospective business opportunity in the Northern Chinese province of Hebei, which surrounds Beijing. But rather than sit down with their potential employer and run through a slickly compiled power point presentation on why they should get the job, they took to the streets in a Gladiator style showdown.
But not human to human, digger to digger!
Details are sketchy at best but it’s been reported that no one was injured in the confrontation which is a miracle in itself. Not to mention they didn’t tear down half the neighbourhood or crush any bystanders. It’s not even clear how long it went on before authorities arrived, or if they even turned up for that matter.
We have one other criticism though.
The lack of team colours makes it unclear as to who is against who and there doesn’t seem to be any clear points system – although a fight to the death is probably the aim.
On top of this, there is a lack of any real comings together worth an action replay. Other than when one lad is flipped on his side, before his team mate attempts to upright him, before locking him out of his own cab when he scrambles to safety.
Regardless of this, it’s certainly a spectacle, although we’re not sure we want it to catch on around the rest of the world!
