At Walton Bridge Garage we’re big fans of two things. The first is new technology and its ability to solve life’s problems, whether it be the advent of GPS and no more flapping with road maps at 50mph, or the ability to order a take way without even picking up the phone.
The first is new technology and its ability to solve life’s problems, whether it be the advent of GPS and no more flapping with road maps at 50mph, or the ability to order a take way without even picking up the phone.
The second is providing a top class service to our customers for unbeatable value, whether it be through our expert mechanics and the annual MOT for just £35, or something as simple as recharging your air conditioning in this unseasonal heatwave for as little as £40.
Well now you can combine our two loves in one simple phone application to make sure you are receiving the best possible deal on your car, without even taking it to the garage.
The FIXD Active Car Health Monitor is the latest piece of kit that could save you time and money when things under the bonnet don’t go to plan.
It’s as simple as taking the compact sensor and plugging it straight into your motors dash. The sensor will then connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth (yes it does still have a use).
It will then act as your very own onboard mechanic and when something is wrong, it will ping a notification to your phone immediately detailing the issue and how urgently you should have it addressed, even what will happen if you don’t.
Not only this, but the app will then give you a rough estimate on how much the issue will cost you when you do arrive at the garage. The clever piece of kit can detect anything from a faulty O2 sensor, each individual engine warning light, even if there’s a fault with your airbags.
As if that wasn’t enough, FIXD will let you know when it’s time for your annual service and keep a record of said service which is all available to download. What’s more, it can be implemented across multiple cars for those of us with more than one and can be used to monitor each motor remotely.
So no more risking it when you hear a rattle and ending up stranded on the side of the M25, but also no need to take the train if it’s only a minor problem you’re pranging out about.
At the moment you can snap one up for a reduced price of around £26, which isn’t too bad at all considering the potential money you could save in the long run.
