Interim Service 44 point check

Checks carried out:

1. Fit seat cover & floor mat
2. Drain oil & refill
3. Replace oil filter
4. Check for general oil leaks – report serious leaks
5. Check clutch operation
6. Check up & top up brake fluid
7. Check driveshaft gaiters & report
8. Check operation of exterior lights
9. Check operation of interior lights
10. Check headlamp alignment & advise
11. Check horn
12. Visually inspect HT leads /distributer cap/coil pack(s) (where applicable)
13. Check/top-up PAS fluid reservoir
14. Check steering/suspension components for wear & corrosion
15. Check steering rack gaiters condition & report
16. Check wheel bearings for excessive noise &/or play
17. Check shock absorber condition & report any leaks as necessary
18. Inspect exhaust system for leaks, supports & corrosion
19. Visual smoke check (diesels only)
20. Check brake pads for wear & report
21. Check brake callipers for fluid leaks & security
22. Check brake shoes for wear (if applicable)
23. Inspect wheel cylinders for correct operation & leaks
24. Visually check brakes hydraulic system for leaks & report
25. Check parking brake linkages & travel & report
26. Check brake discs/drums for wear, corrosion & pitting & report
27. Check brake servo operation
28. Check brake load sensing valve for operation &/or leaks
29. Check for warning lamps & report
30. Remove wheels
31. Check tyre size & fitted according to side wall instructions
32. Check tyre condition & tread depth & report (see overleaf)
33. Check & adjust tyre pressures as necessary
34. Set wheel nut torques to correct setting
35. Check windscreen wipers (front & rear) condition & report
36. Check windscreen washer operation & top-up if required
37. Check windscreen for chips/cracks
38. Check wing & interior mirrors condition
39. Check all seat belts
40. Lubricate all door hinges
41. Lubricate bonnet catch
42. Reset service indicator (subject to data)
43. Stamp service history record
