The most interesting love child you will see today

The beauty of the world we live in is that more often than not, things that don’t traditionally go together can collide to create something completely new and unique. Such as the Grolar Bear or the Liger. Even everyday objects can be combined to create a useful hybrid, like the spork.

The grizzly bear is listed as threatened in the contiguous United States, and endangered in parts of Canada. PHOTO CREDIT: ©Robert M. Griffith

Well it’s no different for cars and we aren’t talking about chop shop knock-offs with a bit of dodgy welding because at Walton Bridge Garage we like to keep everything above board.

What we are talking about is one of the latest works by YasidDesign, a London-based automotive designer, illustrator and consultant. They like to create weird and wonderful automotive creations live online by streaming the session over Facebook.

Ok, let’s not get too excited because these four-wheeled inventions don’t make it onto the actual road, but they are pretty cool none the less.

They can take the ordinary and make it a little less ordinary like this souped up Supra for example.

Or they can go down a whole other route and create a mish-mash of two awesome motors, making a third equally awesome car in the process.

f1

That’s what they have done with this MX-5 based F1 car. They took the base of a 70’s F1 racer (the glory days of F1 motor racing and arguably the coolest the cars have ever been), before combining it with the sporty Mazda roadster to create a thing of beauty. Albeit the sort of strange beauty you see when you stare at your ugly child.

What’s more, they did it all in 90 minutes whilst taking suggestions from the Facebook audience.

This isn’t the first either, there’s a whole host of pictures and videos worth a look on their Facebook page including this super Car-Maro. Go check them out.
